The GE1 is specially developed for Enduro mountain biking. Handlebars are wide, and gripped right at the end, while the riders elbows are kept bent. This position dictates the construction of the grip, and in turn the grip itself is able to prevent typical issues of tension in the arm and hand. With two rubber compounds, there are textured zones orientated against the direction of rotation of the hand. The grip also takes advantage of a lightweight high quality aluminium clamp, securing the damping optimised inner core and the whole grip. Everything optimised for the intended use.

The GA2 All-Mountain / Gravity grip has superb tactile feel thanks to a super-soft, UV stable rubber compound exclusively developed and manufactured in Germany for Ergon. The ergonomic shape requires less rider grip pressure while specific grip zones – matched to the shape of the hand – increase tactile feedback and traction. The inner construction varies in thickness to allow greater damping, which results in less ulna nerve stress and decreased arm pump. The inboard aluminum clamp allows even more grip area at the end of the bars. The gripset is lock-on and carbon bar friendly.

A lightweight grip for full-on racing. The underlying concept is based on our successful GP and GR series grips. The GX1 features a compact body with a significantly slimmer wing, and lower grip diameter in the mid section than the GP1. The grip is designed for quick hand position changes in challenging riding and racing conditions. Made from a lightweight rubber compound and combined with a highly secure lightweight clamp, the GX series is the most comfortable grip on the World Cup race circuit.

The original ergonomic grip – continually improved over the last few years. As the Worldwide standard in ergonomic function, materials and quality, for 2015 the GP1 has a new internal structure. More comfort is ensured by the three part internal support platform (pat pending) with varying wall thickness. German made rubber compound is of the purest quality. Forged aluminium clamps, unlike the pressed clamps preferred by the copies.

Using the grip body as the GS2 Carbon, the GS2 adds an innovative GFK 3 finger bar end. Featuring non-slip rubber inserts, the bar end doubles as the clamp, allowing both the grip and the bar end to be independently adjusted.

As hand size is different from person to person, Ergon manufactures the GP, GS and GA ranges in two sizes - Small and Large. This difference is in the diameter of the grip. The reason for this is that a larger hand is better able to grip a larger grip with less stress and effort. This is the same in reverse for small grip. A smaller hand needs a smaller grip to allow the hand to close around it. Of course, this is all also down to personal preference.

Features:

  • Size: Small - 6.5 to 8.5" hand - 92mm diameter
  • Use: Mountain Biking, Endurance Racing
  • Material: GFK Composite with rubber inserts (Bar end)
  • Weight:  222g
