The MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is a slip-plane system within the helmet designed to rotate inside the helmet with the intent to potentially slow or reduce the amount of energy transferred to or from the head possibly reducing head injury from rotational impacts.
The Roc Loc 5: is an improved retention system with a micro-adjusting dial which is easy to use: a simple twist of the dial opens or tightens the retention system of the helmet. It also features ergonomic arms to accommodate Giro eyewear, and a 15mm vertical bracket which you can adjust without removing your helmet.
Super Fit™ Engineering: A great helmet is so comfortable that once it's on, it virtually disappears. Giro's proprietary three-size Super Fit system is based on "human scale factors" data and over 20 years of crafting helmets for the best bike riders in the world. The result is pure Skull Hugging Luxury™, a helmet that fits 98% of the world's population, yet looks (and fits) like it was custom made just for you.
In-mold constructon fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell with the helmet's impact-absorbing foam liner. The fusion process allows for better ventilation systems, making in-mold helmets lighter and cooler than traditional helmets.

The Wind Tunnel elaborate design combines active vents in the helmet's shell with exhaust channels inside the helmet that thrust fresh, cool air over and around the rider's head while forcing heat and stale air out.
