Basso Diamante 2023
It has been 22 years since the first Diamante was released. 22 years in which Diamante has gone through 8 evolutions to become what it is today: the most Basso bike of all.
Our most long-running bike, stainless like any self-respecting diamond. A process of constant and meticulous improvement, often working on invisible details, capable of combining innovation aimed at the future and the legacy of over 45 years of Basso.
Leaving the starting point to go elsewhere, outside your own schemes, to explore and then come back enriched, so as to evolve what you started from. A circular movement that becomes a spiral as it perfects itself, enclosing the past and the future. The spirit of Basso flows in the circular tubes of the Diamante frame. A shape that is not just an aesthetic solution but the research to obtain the best performance from a material, carbon.

Today Diamante confirms its vocation for climbs and descents. Careful engineering work has made it possible to further reduce the weight by over 200 grams, allowing the complete bike assembly to remain easily under the UCI weight limit (6.8 kg). A bicycle without an extra gram, designed to make each ride an exciting experience, an opportunity to challenge your limits.
A unique design, the result of extremely complex engineering, refined over the years detail by detail. A timeless aesthetic, capable of interpreting the contemporary. The search for the balance between lightness and stability, making the most of the characteristics of carefully hand-crafted carbon. The thickness of the tubes has been meticulously studied to give lightness and reactivity when climbing and stability when descending, even at high speeds.
Stable, responsive, light, and playful. Diamante is a versatile road racing bike, designed to thrive in the most challenging ups and downs. A geometry that has been refined over the decades thanks to the kilometers traveled and the expertise in the manual processing of carbon, capable of achieving absolute performance through cutting-edge technological solutions. The result is an intense and engaging riding experience, ready to excite.
We meticulously study carbon to enhance its characteristics through its shape. In the areas where energy is generated and discharged – the bottom bracket and steering area -, the circular shape, in addition to reducing the thickness and weight of the tubes, gives greater torsional rigidity, so that all the pedaling energy translates into progression and riding precision. This solution allows to obtain greater lightness, rigidity and control, with the result of not losing power and acquiring stability.
