The R.C1 FS 27.5 is an exceptionally responsive, versatile and compact full-suspension mountain bike for cross country riders who are keen on demanding trails. Due to the short chain stays of 428 mm, the steep 74° seat post angle and the balanced 68° head tube angle, the bike is extremely agile and geared to forward motion in its handling yet still smooth with good tracking at high speeds. The central seating position allows for optimum power transmission to the pedals, thus ensuring effective uphill pedalling. The kinematic system achieves an almost perfect compromise between offering shock absorbing comfort and remaining neutral in thrust. The ball-bearing-mounted, four-joint rear swing arm with 140 mm travel has a damper with a high rebound force and offers a very good response with low break-out moment downhill and good traction uphill. Here the high durability also results from features such as the frictionless compression path via an oscillation angle of 50°. |
